I like to dedicate some of my time to the educational side of things as I believe it is important to pass on the knowledge and spread the beautiful art of drumming. I have been working in various music schools ever since 1997, including the London Music School and the London Centre of Contemporary Music. I am currently a resident tutor at the Brighton Institute of Modern Music and have been lecturing there since 2006. I also head the Percussity drum department in London and have written various tuition articles as a freelance contributor for UK drum magazines Rhythm and Drummer, which gives me an outlet to share some of my concepts and ideas with the wider drumming community.
For more info on Music Degree Courses check out the Brighton Institute of Modern Music website.

FAQ
* Do I need to read music?
There are great musicans out there that can't read a note but I need to give you information that you can practice between lessons. So, yes, I will teach you to read music, but don't worry, the good news is that it won't take long to understand rhythmic music notation.
* Do I need to practice?
Absolutely! I will give you the information but the only way to improve is through practice.
* Why do you only provide lessons in blocks?
My lessons are usually set in minimum blocks of three to provide a sense of continuity and to establish realistic goals which will help you achieve results. If you decide that you want to study with me I will expect a commitment from you after our first meeting so I can set up a personalized program toghether with you. However no block booking is necessary to reserve your first lessson.
Beside being involved in the music industry for over 15 years I have also had the privilege to study with several global drumming ambassadors such as Dom Famularo, Jim Chapin, Pete Zeldman and Thomas Lang.
I graduated from the Musicians Institute (MI) in 1997 and with my P.G. Cert. (Ed) Post Graduate Certificate in Further and Higher Music Education from Middlesex University London, I take my teaching seriously.
